Upon completion of your medical/dental health form, necessary digital photos and X-rays will be taken of your teeth to identify areas of decay, cracked teeth, and malfunctioning restorations. DIAGNOdent, a specialized laser, will also be used on your teeth, notifying us of early areas of decay that are not visible on the X-ray or on digital photographs. Your gums are thoroughly assessed, and a recommendation is made for the appropriate hygiene treatment for you. Lastly, your dental team reviews your results with you, answering any questions you may have, to ensure that you fully understand and feel comfortable with your individual treatment plan.

Tooth whitening is one of the simplest forms of cosmetic dentistry available today. To best fit your lifestyle and desires, Dr. Rosenberg offers two main methods for you to choose from to obtain excellent results – either a custom home tooth whitening kit or an in-office procedure.

Your custom home whitening kit involves a special tray that is customized to fit over your teeth. You also receive prescription whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it. Dr. Rosenberg will give you detailed instructions for use and how long you should wear the tray each day. Expect the entire home whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you with a radiant smile.

For more immediate results, Dr. Rosenberg also offers in-office tooth whitening using a more powerful whitening process. You will see dramatic results in just a few hours!

Porcelain veneers improve your smile by correcting a multitude of cosmetic concerns, including: gaps in teeth; chipped and broken teeth; dull or yellowing teeth that cannot be whitened by traditional means; “gummy smile” (showing too much gum when one smiles); and, crooked teeth. Porcelain veneers broaden, straighten, whiten, and beautify smiles. A veneer is a thin strip of porcelain that is bonded to the front of your tooth and artistically shaped to enhance the look of your smile. This procedure can be done in as little as two clinical visits. Many of our patients feel porcelain veneers were the best improvement imaginable for their smile and overall confidence.

Yes. With advancements in dentistry, Dr. Rosenberg can replace your old, metal fillings or crowns with flawless, porcelain fillings or crowns. Your custom-milled porcelain crown or filling will match your existing teeth while beautifully creating a natural-looking smile. No one will even remember your old, discolored restorations!

Yes. Dr. Rosenberg has a number of ways to improve the look of your front teeth without requiring traditional braces again. For slightly crooked or unevenly worn teeth, a bit of reshaping and the addition of porcelain veneers may be sufficient treatment to give them a bright, uniform look.

In more pronounced cases, it may be necessary to recommend an invisible braces technique like the Inman Aligner – a revolutionary alternative to standard braces and a more conservative option than porcelain veneers. Coils work to “squeeze” your teeth together by pushing and pulling them into alignment. In as little as six-to-16 weeks, your front teeth with be straight, and you will feel confident to show off your new smile to the world!

If you have a broken tooth or a tooth that needs repaired because of deterioration due to cavities or decay, a crown may be the option recommended to you. Tooth decay eats away at your healthy tooth structure in much the same way as rust eats away at metal. If this decay is not removed from your tooth, it will continue to deteriorate the tooth until removal of the tooth is the only option. In some cases, if detected early, the decay can be removed while leaving behind a portion of the healthy tooth structure. A crown can then be placed on the healthy portion of your tooth. This allows you to keep your natural, underlying tooth structure while restoring the look and function of your smile. Most crowns are either precision-milled porcelain, for a natural-looking smile, or full metal (gold or silver). All crowns are customized to give you a natural, long lasting smile.

Designed to restore a single tooth or several teeth, a dental implant is one of the most permanent forms of restorative dentistry available. Dental implants involve the placement of a surgical grade titanium post directly into your jawbone by one of Dr. Rosenberg’s trusted specialists. As the bone bonds to the post, it forms a secure foundation for the attachment of a crown or a prosthetic tooth that is custom created exclusively for you. Implants fit solidly, reducing the problems associated with traditional dentures, such as gum sores, denture adhesives, shifting, difficulty speaking, and difficulty chewing. Implants are best suited for patients who have good bone structure in place and who desire a longer-lasting, more comfortable tooth replacement option.

Most Americans experience some form of periodontal disease, often without even realizing it. Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is chiefly responsible for adult tooth loss, bleeding gums, bad breath, and receding gums. But, the truth is, it is easily prevented with proper hygiene, home care, and professional treatment. You may be able to maintain your dental health with two cleanings a year, but many people find that their mouth and teeth stay healthier when they are cleaned more frequently. Dr. Rosenberg sets your cleaning schedule based on your personal oral health needs, and this could be as often as four times a year. If you have heavy plaque and tarter build-up, you may be a good candidate for more frequent hygiene treatments. Also, if you are generally healthy but have certain systemic conditions, such as diabetes, or if you are taking specific medications, you may require more frequent cleanings.

Fluoride treatment benefits you in many ways. Fluoride helps with adult tooth sensitivity and is also good for exposed root surfaces, which are more susceptible to decay. Fluoride helps prevent recurrent cavities around fillings and crowns. In our office, Dr. Rosenberg recommends a safe, in-office application, which has a high concentrate of fluoride. In children, fluoride helps to strengthen the permanent teeth that are forming. It is vital for strong, decay-resistant teeth and is one of the most effective elements in preventing tooth decay. Fluoride combines with the enamel to strengthen it against decay. It may also reverse microscopic cavities by enhancing the process in which minerals are incorporated into the teeth. The most effective way to get fluoride is by drinking water containing the right amount of the mineral (about 1ppm parts water).
